Read the evidence level
- Documented capability: an authoritative vendor or chip source establishes support or wiring.
- Implemented: an app uses the capability. A build proves compilation, not physical behavior.
- Observed on device: a dated serial or physical check establishes what was actually seen during that run.
- Explore / UNKNOWN: an idea or unresolved detail that needs a diagnostic or explicit device check.
Repository evidence
- Board facts and verified pin inventory.
- Source index with Freenove schematic, specification and tutorials.
- Hardware observations and dated device records.
- Monitor readiness and local bridge setup.
- Screenshot and preview tools. The main monitor screenshot is LCD readback. Recorder and alternate monitor states are host-rendered drawing code with sample data.
Authoritative technical references
- Freenove display model comparison.
- Espressif USB device stack and HID example.
- Espressif speech recognition and ESP32-S3 benchmarks.
- Chrome Web Bluetooth support and requirements.
- Android USB host capability.
- PlatformIO Core CLI.
Unresolved board details
The physical PCB revision, fitted touch-controller suffix and amplifier part, original factory partition layout, battery calibration and current attached expansion devices remain UNKNOWN. USB touchscreen keyboard input is owner-verified directly on Windows 11. Emoji selection, other HID hosts and Windows App remote-session forwarding remain unverified; custom ML models and deep-sleep wake are not implemented or verified here.
This guide reflects repository evidence through 4 October 2026. When you verify new hardware behavior, update the knowledge files and the relevant app's record before extending a capability claim.
