This firmware has no published screen capture. Some diagnostics primarily report through USB serial. Screen appearance remains unverified here; see its app README for the intended behavior.
What to expect
Full-screen SD slideshow with BMP, JPEG, PNG and still WebP support. BMP playback is owner-confirmed; compressed formats pass native tests and still need physical playback checks. Use its application guide for controls, prerequisites and recorded device checks.
Copy supported photos into /photos on a FAT16/FAT32 SD card; sample images and preparation instructions are in the application guide. This standalone build uses the ordinary Arduino partition layout and replaces the monitor’s app/model regions when switching firmware. Reinstall the complete named monitor environment and speech models when returning to the monitor. Its optional idle-photo mode uses a separate directory and prepared format.
Capabilities used
Install and inspect
Install SD photo frame over USB ↗
pio run -e photo-frame
pio device list
pio run -e photo-frame -t upload --upload-port <port>
pio device monitor --port <port> -b 115200Replace <port> with the discovered device. Build before upload. Read the app's partition and storage notes before switching firmware.

Implementation, a passing build, observed serial operation and physical interaction are separate evidence levels. Check the guide's open device checks before relying on an unmeasured behavior.
